I wouldn't say its harder
But a proper fuel system and fuel flow is the MOST important aspect of the rx7. Its the difference between build or bust.
If the injector were not firing properly and the car lean out between stages he may have a blown rotor...And 7's can run on 1 rotor and can hide the fact that you are blown unless you know the difference between the two. I would fix the wiring issue and do a test of the rear rotor...or the rotor that has the poor wiring. Anything else is a waste of time.
If you use a compression tester U need to remove the "stem" on the compression tester...meaning the tester will not hold the reading. U have to check for 3 bumps.
Example my one rotor reads: 104-100-100
