from what I know it works on all subarus that are autos, and ones with turbos. The FWD socket is there, you just gotta plug in the extra fuse(I think the green one)....I think they made it that way in case you get a flat and have different size spares, so you can put the good wheels on the front and not screw up your diffs. Anyways that all I know, other than the fact that if you don't need a center diff, you shouldn't get one
