so dan, it reduces the sagging in the throttle cable, and traveling distance to achieve full throttle.

Reducing the sag of the throttle cable can be done by adjusting the screw at the end of the throttle cable, or custom make a bracket for where the throttle cable end would sit further away from the T.B.
As far as reducing the traveling distance that someone has to reach full throttle, well, I guess purchasing this adapter is the best/less time consuming/cheaper route to go.
This would be the very last "modification" i would put on my project car since it's not a big gain
