The car you're talking about with the V8 is the Radical SR8 which is even more finicky than the 1500cc since you effectively have two highly stressed engines merged into one and much more to go wrong; it also has a 30 hour rebuild interval. A friend has one and will be at Sebring with me in January if anyone is going and wants to check all of these out; Winterfest normally attracts a few thousand people.
Yea I was reading up on Powertec's website the other day.

What does your car use for a differential? I know Quiafe has few different versions of a Chain driven diff. but they are expensive and i think I read that they also need rebuilding every once in awhile.

I want to build a tube frame open wheel car similar to the atom(single seater) but with a 600cc bike engine. Only problem is the Diff will be more expensive than the rest of the project since it would cost $3500+
