I used to hate it until I got smart and started dressing for the wind chill. Dress for 30 degrees and you'll be cold...dress for 7 degrees and you'll be comfortable.

I wear a fleece sweater under my leather jacket, breath guard in helmet, neck wrap, insulated gloves, long johns, and thick wool socks. If the temp rises to much past 50 degrees during the day, I start to overheat.

Other than the 20 minute long dressing process, riding in the cold is great because the bike rides like a champ. All that cold, dense air filling it's combustion chamber is like having 10 extra horsepower.
