A turbo is always the way to go not super charged, the 4.3 would be good but for cheap the 2.2 with forged pistons, total rebuild, a T3 35r turbo and a new set of injectors, with an 8,000 rpm rev limiter wounld give you amazing power for cheap. i have a 2.2 and pistons cost $300, cam was $300, Turbo kit was $2000. a 4.3 should be around the same cose for you but you will have to add cost for motor, tranny and mounts.
And also with keeping ur 2.2 you wont have all the little things to change, you have more room to work with and you will get better mpg.
