If your not a complete idiot about where you place your xbox you won't get it.

Most people got the rrod because of the intercooler add-on many gamer stores were selling.It robbed power from the system thus making it work harder with less power which overloaded it and bam RROD.

I've had my box for almost 9 months now with NO issues.It all matters where you place it.If its enclosed on all sides,your going to get the rings because everything heats up.Microsoft decided to use a different type of solder on the connections and its very brittle.

I'll probably end up getting a ps3 in the future.
