This sounds like a likely
perspective of young males who are still in the transitioning point from being "
boys" to becoming a "
man"....
Either still living at home with
mom (see "
momma's boy") and trying to figure out their place in life,
or possibly
surviving day to day, but not yet
responsible for anyone or anything of significance.
This is a very different perspective from us
old farts, whom have
responsibilities beyond taking out the garbage and mowing the yard.

Being responsible for others has a way a changing ones perspective... thus a very key difference between boys and men.
Later young
