I don't understand your statement.
At the top of the steering knuckle there is a ball joint that connects to the upper control arm.
At the bottom of the steering knuckle the lower ball joint connects to the lower control arm. Around the middle the tie rod connects with another ball joint to the steering knuckle.
The other side of the tie rod connects to the steering rack at the inner tie rod joint.
Which one has play?
