We just put a 347 in my coupe and we have approx 5,000 wraped up in that motor, We are building a new motor for ChrisN1313 right now. And as of right now with all forged internals, cams, etc. he is actually under the cost of my 347. Now granted he didn't need any machine work to the block but we do have to cut the pistons to make room for the valves. He is sitting at about the 3,000 mark right now. Both these motors are nitrous motors and are going to be tuned to the 600+ hp mark. So tell me how a push rod motor is cheaper?
And why do you want to do a carb setup? Fuel injection is the way of the future.

I wanted to carb it so i could install 4v heads cheaply without the cobra everything else. I thought edlebrock was coming out with a 4v intake manifold that would make this easier but im running into walls. are there certian year 4v heads that will fit onto my 1998 shortblock? I have a non pi setup in my 97 so which heads will go where would help guys.
