you both are wrong....first off if you buy a box from a race shop it will be set-up to vent any gases....and you dont need just wire and terminals....any track will make it be fully enclosed.so you must get a track spec box too
I got a boat battery box and secured it behind my passenger seat on the floor and I don't see any track official having problems with it.
