You can get a can of coil cleaner for A/C units in the house. We just cleaned our coils in our unit which look like radiators and it tons of stuff came off.. Its in a spray can and foams up and gets out the grime. Then we just liftly brushed it ( not hard you will bend fins) and then washed it off...
