Cleaning outside of radiator?
Im going to have the front end of my car torn apart for some other work in the near future, and I was just curious if anyone had any advice as to what to use to clean the exterior of the radiator.
Im currently planning on using my usual engine bay cocktail of 1:3 simplegreen and water, and a cut-down paintbrush to gently sweep grime away. If anybody knows of anything better, please let me know!

You can get a can of coil cleaner for A/C units in the house. We just cleaned our coils in our unit which look like radiators and it tons of stuff came off.. Its in a spray can and foams up and gets out the grime. Then we just liftly brushed it ( not hard you will bend fins) and then washed it off...

Is this something I can pick up at a home depot, or will I need a specialized AC store?

That coil cleaner is great it will pull lovebugs and all kinds of debris right out of the fins. You can get a regular formula from just about any home depot or lowes but an A/C guy can get a stronger formula. Regular formula stuff normally takes 2 applications but still works.
