yea all i know of is the problem with 02-05 WRX tranny. the STI tranny is suppose to be bulletproof and really strong for a 6speed. new 06 wrx tranny is better too. what i have heard and read not from experience.
i have an 02 and the tranny isnt that bad. its all in the driver. you cant slam gears and expect it to last for ever. im on 90K miles and just now i am upgrading the clutch and flyweel..as far as the rest of the tranny well it can prob hold up to 300whp pushing it to its limit. but i wont try it...i am planning on getting an sti soon! or an evo

+1 on the sti or evo.
I plan on getting either one in march.Most likely the sti though.It just looks better IMO.Plus its a helluva lot more reliable.
