all that b16 head will do is give the air a straighet path to the chambers. the chambers are bigger tho so ur really getting a head that doesnt flow any better than a gsr (ive seen the charts theyre pretty similar) and lowers the compression by .2 or .3 (not entirely sure). the gsr cams also have an extra 3 degrees of duration (give or take). so itl help that b16 out.

to clarify....the poor mans r is a gsr block with type r pistons n a b16 head with the type r valve train. the only thing the b16 head has in common with the type r is the casting. other than that the type r head is superior in every way.

i dont think the gsr head on the b16 will make it faster than a gsr bc it still wont have the tq. hope this helped.
