k series internals ?
well, i'm getting ready to do 2 k-series builds, and i came accross something very interesting about hasports new crx.
-It has a k24a1 motor: stock block, stock valvetrain, with jackson supercharger at 8psi.
here is the thing that got me wondering--> they took out the cams of the crappy 1/2 vtec head, and put in skunk 2 stg2 cams.
since the head is still 16 valve with roller rockers etc, why cant i drop rsx-s cams into this k24 motor like they did and bump up the power a bit without swapping out valves and such?
The owner doesnt want to pay to pull the motor apart, swap pistons, and put on the complete rxs-s head when he can slap some rsx-s cams in it and gain a few more ponies.
John or Alpha- if you have seen anyone doing this or know anything about it, fill daddy in. my exp rests with k20's alone, and not with breeding k20's with k24's. THANKS!!!!!!
