nope, trannies cost too much and so does the labor. But I think it is a great idea for any car marketed for spirited driving.

It's just like every other decently powerful car marketed to the younger crowd though. 98% of the time the car has some sort of modification done to it that increases power output, so SOA will deny warranty coverage.

In the case that a car has not been modified at all they usually cover it, however if they pull the tranny and the synchros are excessively worn then it was obviously abused and they aren't going to cover it.

SOA usually backs the warranty on the car when it is just. I had a WRX that was covered for serious damage even though it was partially modified, and SOA definately could have been dick and said no.....but they didn't.

Even given my past experience, I still think warranties are the biggest waste for people who mod cars. I wish I could just get the car for cheaper and waive my warranty when I buy a new car. I would only want warranty for the first 5k miles to work the bugs out. After that.......fuck the warranty because I'm going to mod it.

IMO, It does suck that car companies like Mitsubishi,Subaru,Dodge...etc. deny warranties because cars are being driven "aggressive" there is a big difference between aggressive and abusive. Yet when they market these cars all they talk about is 0-60 speeds and ability in the 1/4 mile, handling.....etc. What do they expect when they market the car as such.....of course people are going to drive them hard. Especially when the advertisement that made them interested in the car was "0-60 in 4.6 seconds" "Faster than (insert high end car name here)" Or a commercial of the car rally racing .
