Actually I do have an opinion, which was ....you should learn how to drive a Subaru. For your information similar things have happened to me. I have had a lemon wrx in the past and currently have 2 more sitting outside my driveway so do some research before you jump to conclusions.

Now you said you recently bought the 2004 STi, so maybe it wasn't you that messed it up completely......but the fact of the matter is.....someone did. What you described was a syncro problem. Syncro problems on a STi only come into play from bad or abusive driving. As long as you keep the tranny fluid in the case the STi synchros will last for a long time and a ton of power.

Now it is very rare that a STi syncro just goes bad from proper gear changing. But you got to ask yourself........What are the chances that 2 go on the same tranny?

Subie trannies need tender love and care. They can't just be banged into gear like Honda's.

PS> Welcome to the Subaru Forum.

I love that guy I was waiting for the YOU F*%&* A**&%$%

What year are the 2 subies?
