+1, its amazing the BS people make up and then it becomes "fact" later in the future.
Lovebugs are harmless, they are the insect world's down syndrome guy. They do nothing but fly around in circles and hit things aimlessly. The problem with them is they contain a highly corrosive acid inside them so when they go splat on cars, it starts eating away at the wax and the paint.
I've seen bras on cars for as long as I can remember, and my mom used to have one on her old ass minivan. They are definitely useful when they're quality and made right. I know that if you get the cheapo universal ones, you sometimes end up blocking vents and you start heating up the engine more than usual...
I might get a clear bra for my car when the LB season starts up again just to be on the safe side, but for the most part this season, while everyone was complaining about the huge amounts of bugs on their cars.... the ENTIRE season I only had THREE on my car, that's it.
Trick is to leave the house before 6AM or before the sun rises so you can get to work before those bastards come out.
Though I remember the season before I had gone up to zephyrhills at one particular time of day and the time I got there my whole front end was a furry carpet.
