the lil plug gets brittle and then just crumbles and falls out, thus causing the brake light switch not to be pushed in by the brake pedal.
you can get a new one at honda for super cheap!
some guys rig it up by putting a nut and bolt in it's place, but you have to make sure the head of the bolt's not too thick though!!!
