do you have any mods on the car ? the way you can determine if you should be driving the car is if the CEL is flashing, if its a solid CEL it is ok to drive. it is very normal to see the CRUISE light flashing. i think subaru did that to get your attention to notice the CEL.

you can take it down to any auto parts store and they can tell you the code for free also.
