Hey
To properly recharge the freon in your AC system you should not just buy a few cans of freon and pump them into your AC lines. To do it right you need to have it done by a professional with the right equipment so that it is as cold as possible. For example if you replace your own AC compressor and drier you should have the system vacuum of all moisture and old freon etc....and have it refilled using the correct pump so that moisture does enter the system. Moisture in your AC system will decrease the efficiency of the freon and your AC will not be as cold as it could be.
If you do your own freon recharge your AC WILL get cold but will not get as cold as it could get by properly extracting all of the moisture from the system.
