a clean chain helps prolong the life of the spockets and chain. regular brake clean works fine. don't forget to spray the front sprocket area. let the brake clean sit a few minutes and rinse with water. for heavier build up, spray again and use a brush.

right now, mine is the cleanest its ever been.. then again, it just got replaced along with new sprockets! i'm bad about keeping mine clean, but i'm going to try to keep this set cleaner.
