Hmm. Not a fan of general motorsport? Let's take a look at the following...
BTCC (around 95-97, when 4,5,6cyl cars limited to 2.0 liters NA were pushing out 320whp, doing 2g+ turns, and 3.5s 0-60[all w/ functional doors, head and tailights, turnsignals, and windshield wipers...not the "fancy" stickers Nascar and NHRA uses to imitate real cars])
DTM - Same as above, only better... V8's that that go above 10k rpm, and can turn left... and right...really fuckin fast
WRC - AWD grip and acceleration in the worst of your local climates while still being able to haul ass over even East Gunn Hwy's nasty manholes.
Group B- same as above, only better... disbanded when people were flyin off mountains. If it was on the street, wouldn't have that problem. I believe that was the first time Twin-Charge (both supercharger and turbocharger was used together for automobile competition)
Now granted, all of the above were backed by near never-ending amounts of funds. However, they all had to deal w/ limitations and restrictions which caused a LOSS of potential.
Fact remains...yes...a car will NEVER be the BEST in EVERY aspect. But can it be fuckin awesome in every aspect, hell yea.
as the whole dramawaffles drag queen vs. i can turn debate painfully continues... if 2 people are adament about finding out which car/driver combo is the best, they'll find a way to go to a road course and settle it, or atleast, that's the way it should be[my opinion, i know]. btw...look up chinmotorsports
