Absolutely.
Respect for Authority is an expectation..... always has been, always will be.... deal with it... it is reality.
Children should have already learned this by the time they are 20... but no offense.... 20 year old males have never been known for their good judgement.
However, respect for immature adolescence is not an expectation.
If someone wants respect, they should start by carrying themselves in a manner worthy of such an honor....

I've got many friends that are LEOs, and they are good people... Fathers, Husbands, Friends, Neighbors.... many of which were Marines... just like myself.
People are people... are we are all flawed at some level.
You and I have met several times.
You've always appeared to be level headed with a good head on your shoulders.
I just understand all the negativity and resentment you have towards Police.
You have to realize that people are people, regardless of thier job, nationality, or socio-economic standing.
