05 Dodge SRT4
Head Unit: Alpine CDA-9857
Solid all around HU, though i wish it had 4 or 5v preouts, instead of 2.2... got it because of the ipod direct cable and the bluetooth kit they had available (which i've since stopped using, because it rarely works as advertised). ipod control is stupid easy with this thing though, so i don't think i could ever get rid of it.
Front Stage: Alpine Type-R 6.5 components
They're the ones right before they started doing the ring radiator tweeters. Silk dome tweeters, OK sound, though nothing to write home about. I guess i was spoiled by my old DLS UR6's. Decent speakers, though i never would have bought them had i not gotten an insane discount on them through BB. I'm considering doing some kind of pod to seal the mids in, but then i'd have to get a bigger amp, as they're only running on about 40w RMS. doors are as fully dynamatted as i could get them, unfortunately there's a gaping hole in each door frame, so there wasn't any particularly easy way to get them to run in a semi-sealed IB kind of deal.
Sub Stage: 2 elemental designs 13kv.2's
probably my favorite sub i've ever owned... lacking a little bit of overall output compared to my old IDQ's, but overall accuracy and SQ are better IMO. They're in a sealed box, about 1.25 cubes each. I put them on about 300w rms each, which they used to be rated at 350rms (eD has since raised the rating) and i get the feeling that they could probably take double what i'm throwing at them. The trunk needs dynamatting. badly.
Amps: mrp-t220 and mrp-m650
good solid amps, little audible distortion... but again, nothing to really write home about. took me a long time to get the xover freq right for the subs though.
wiring is all rockford fosgate, gotta love that BB employee discount. i kinda miss it.
