Well, don't doubt that a 900 dollar carbeurator professionally built by CSU, one adjusted (with a screwdriver) will run pretty goddamn well. People usually tune them once in summer and once in winter down here and they run perfect in between. Between how good these guys are at tuning them, and the mechanical doo-dads in there to meter itself, they run about right. You just can't generate all the fancy reports and interface with computers to change up your stuff on a whim. Its not so bad, especially when it comes time to repair something, or time to pay for the fuel system.

No doubt the electrical gremlins are fewer and further between on a carb motor. It's the mechanical doo-dads inside the carb that I haven't delt with to know how it works and how accurate it is. That's not to say I haven't worked with carbs, but only enough to know that I don't know everything about them. I know just enough to know there is less mechanical skill required to tune a FI motor....but more technilogical know how.....if that makes any sense.
