newer cars have have both MAF sensors AND MAP sensors.
even my 97 nissan 240 does. however, they cant both be used in conjunction as the primary piece. either one or the other which is where i understand why you're confused. my MAP sensor is merely and OBD-2 component (a useless one at that) that serves as an emissions device for some reason. i actually have 2 i think, one doesnt work because my SES light is on for a code 83 which is manifold absolute pressure sensor aka MAP. most 4g63s i have seen from factory are all MAF based, i dont know how they have gotten both to work together, or if the MAP is merely an additional US component for emissions or something diagnostic-like taht is screwing up the rest???
