In my career, I drive alot, close to 40,000 miles a year. Every time I get behind the wheel of a car, I take a risk...BUT, I understand risk management. I know that going to CCC is like playing Russian Roulette with my life, so I don't go.
You know, I might walk outside during a storm and get struck by lightning, but why would I increase my odds by holding up a golf club? Doesn't make sense, does it?
Then plain and simple. Stay away from them. It was said on another post, there is a different group in different parts of the causeway. I can also see idiots at the mall.
Yes, there are idiots at the mall, but what you fail to realize is that ONCE A MONTH, there is a post about some mishap @ CCC. Don't you get it? IT's a dangerous place, not a place to hang out and watch people die.
Before you start calling everyone a misguided teenager, look in the mirror. I'm sure you were just the perfect angel and never did anything wrong.
Luckily, I'm not a teenager, and I am not perfect. I am a father, and I have "been there, done that", and now I know better, so I share my wisdom.
You should have watched "Crossroads" on CBS last night. It was about a street racer here in Tampa that was racing on a private street, NOT the causeway, and killed a mother and daughter.
I watched "Crossroads" last night... This should actually give you more concern about people hanging out @ CCC.
Everybody is so quick to judge on why people shouldn't have been there. In the last 48 hours I have only seen a hand full of people thank the ones that helped, but I'll be damned I've seen more than that bitch about them being out there.
Don't confuse this single incident with the overall problem. You see, your getting too emotional and leaving rational thoughts behind. We are not discussing just this single event...we are discussing the entire PROBLEM @ CCC.
Now shut your pie hole and you better hope like hell that there is someone as brave and caring as those were Saturday night, to be there if you ever are in need.

I've been going out to CCC since most of you were in diapers. And its because of kids like you, spewing off at the mouth, that places like this get a bad name.
The good ole "I'm older, smarter, richer, fill in the blank line". If you've been going to CCC since some members were in diapers, then you too are the problem.
I just don't get people...funny how nobody responded to my Drive-by comment.
Here are the facts. On a saturday night, 11pm-2am on CCC
within 4 weeks, there will be another accident
within 8 weeks, there will be another serious accident
within 12 weeks, there will be another fatality
All this...in a 3 hour window, one night a week. Only one of the above will be caused by streetracing. 2 of these accidents will get posted on TR. One will invlove a member or a friend of a TR member.
How do you like those numbers?
Compare it too this. TR/TF has been having 'meets' at QSL for what, 2 years now. It's a 3 hour window, 1 night a week, just like CCC. No accidents, and nobody has died...and people get to shoot the shit.
Care to justify that?
I guess I just care too much about the members of this site.
