but then again our jails are overcrowded and our justice system is slow and lenient, so i guess we'll just have to be aware of our surroundings and hope to try not to get taken out by these people.
Being the case, I don't see any alternative than garnishing wages. Even a dirtbag is gonna make a couple grand a month. Cut some of that for the victim's family. And every time the drunk looks at his paycheck stub he will see what his stupidity has cost him and others.
Garnishing wages won't stop drunk driving or any other crime, but at least the victims will get something out of it.
