I owned a Ninja 250cc back in the day... who told you it wasn't a good bike? And why wasn't it?
If you ask me... you should buy the 250 or something cheaper so that you can beat the shit out of that before you spend more on a diff bike.
You'll also notice that in this forum there are a bunch that avoid sensible choices such as the Ninja 250 that can't even ride it to its limits.
