Ahh, why is that? Is carbon fiber super strong? As far as I know its less durable than a peice of metal tubing? In fact, something interesting I read is that they have to coat it with nanocrystaline materials oftentimes, because its prone to cracks and impact damage. We're not talking about a bicycle helmet ya know. I'll take good ol' metal tubing any day.
And there are several kinds of carbon fibers. Some have unbelievably high heat limits, some are pretty damn low. Some exhibit 'softening' at temperatures barely into 300 degrees, others could plate a space shuttle, of course.
