If one of the purists who are telling you what to do with YOUR car wants to give you a big pile of money to "save the breed", then go for it and buy something else. If not, do whatever the hell you want with it.

I let the purists talk me out of doing what I wanted with my last '69 Mach I and have been kicking myself in the butt since. Never again.
