This is the thing that bothers me the most though. I received the ticket on Jan 27,2007 and have yet to receive a court date for it. Since it's mandatory, I know something will come, but the 2 times I've call the courthouse, they said that there hasn't been one set yet and that it should come within 4-6 weeks of the ticket. Well it's been 2 months or 8 weeks.
I received a ticket for red neon lights on 10-4-06 and the court date was set for 2-11-07 and that was because I requested the hearing the next day. If you got the ticket in tampa expect it to take a while. if you want to cover your ass, go to the DMV in person and request the hearing there. They WILL give you a date if you go in person.
