Ok, that makes sence, but do you only speed shift between gears that you can spin your tires, or do you do it where traction isn't an issue as well?
BTW If I were to speed shift in 2nd or 3rd I would have no traction at all, so it isn't an option in those gears for me.
If you speed shift, and you ignite the tires for several seconds-you negate any gain. I agree completely.
If your car is a "threshold" car-barely holding on to traction (sounds like your's is)-power/speedshifting can really aggravate the situation and could ultimately slow you down a bit. I would only speedshift under the best traction conditions.
