I also think a lot of those highly tuned turbos do very well at the track with benefit of extensive cooldowns.

200+hp per litre is obviously possible-but not easy to attain even under the best conditions-and I feel it is seriously doubtful on pump gas.

I've seen Grand Nationals turn helatious times at the strip (with bags of ice sitting on their manifolds & intake tracts!!) and become pigs in 70+ degree weather under street conditions.

The LS1's suffer a bit from heat soak-but only in the 10-20 hp range-where some street vs strip blown motors can lose a second or more...

Also, I can only wonder about the car's driveability. And the AWD concept is nice, but that car comes within 100-150lbs of most 'vettes...
im nothing special, probably 200-220whp, but ive only put $100 into the car. and a DSM is Diamond Star Motors, any mitsubishi eclipse, eagle talon, or plymouth laser built from 90-99, it was a joint operation between mitsu and chrysler. nope, they run pump gas, atleast i am pretty sure jerry did when he ran a 11.3 i think. and there isnt any icebaggin that i have seen. and on the street, for every inch you peel your tires, we pull a foot away is how i see it. usually, a dsm can be put into the low 12's with good driving, for 4000 - 6000 depending on parts and such. now granted i know alot of the muscle guys are like, well for only 1000 i can be at 400whp, but usually, the car, if newer, is in the 20k+ price range, as where as i paid 1200 for my car, dropped 6k in it, and spent atleast 3 times less as you, look good, and pull your times.. also the biggest advantage i see the streetable V8's having such great track times, is their ability to hold a large shot of nitrous. if i knew i could squirt a 200 shot all day and not worry about breaking a thing, i would sure as hell do it to.
