The 6 bangers offset the cost to build the HiPo versions. So its a good thing they exsist...as much as I wish they didn't have to.
Funny thing is...the folks that get the V6 Mustangs think noone will notice its not the GT, they think that they look the same. The irony is, those people that wouldn't notice the difference, don't even care, and those that do care...know the difference. 6 cylinder owners aren't fooling anyone.
With that said, everyone can rag on the 6 banger 'Stang all they want (present company included) but, if Honda or Nissan made a rear drive 6 cylinder 210HP, 240 ft lbs of torque car for under $20 G's that could do low 15's in the 1/4....there'd be nothing but hype about it. And you know that's true.
Nissan did. You can find them under $20 Gs now and they still are slow with TT kits on them.
And I'm sure the Honda Ridgeline could crack off a 15, truck with VTEC! I can tow shit and race people!
