Hopefully the woodruff key hasn't bit into the crank nose too bad yet...quickmetal goo can repair that, if you let it sit for like 48 hours with the key bonding into the damaged keyway...

God this design flaw pisses me off...I'm all for the 1.6's but the window for the long noses is '91.5 - and beyond...

Anyway...try goo-repairing it...

Depending on the degree to which it is damaged it could come out as good as new...really...not kidding, just some quickmetal compound...maybe a new woodruff key...

Im still going to sale the car. Maybe the person that buys it can try this. Im a bit more picky. To tell you the truth i just wanted to swap an SR in this miata and make it a sleeper.
