FS: 1990 Mazda Miata
For Sale 1990 Mazda Miata
Ok, here is another good deal. This miata is the perfect project car!
The car is just a daily driver but currently sports a new set of Tein lowering springs and KYB shock all around, A/C is ice cold, top was replaced a year ago and is still in good conditions, tires have over 60% of thread.
The reason im selling it is because the crank pulley is starting to wobble. This is a common issue with the 1.6 engines. The solution is to replace the crank. The kit is only $250 but im currently working on another project and cant afford to fix it so i decided to let it go. $2,000 obo.

Hopefully the woodruff key hasn't bit into the crank nose too bad yet...quickmetal goo can repair that, if you let it sit for like 48 hours with the key bonding into the damaged keyway...
God this design flaw pisses me off...I'm all for the 1.6's but the window for the long noses is '91.5 - and beyond...
Anyway...try goo-repairing it...
Depending on the degree to which it is damaged it could come out as good as new...really...not kidding, just some quickmetal compound...maybe a new woodruff key...
Good Luck with the sale. I often wish for a cash fairy visit...but it wont return my calls...

Im still going to sale the car. Maybe the person that buys it can try this. Im a bit more picky. To tell you the truth i just wanted to swap an SR in this miata and make it a sleeper.

The car is so light weight that a turbo engine swap makes it evil. I remenber the one that XAT put together. It was awesome!
