Sounds like you have allot of rust floating around the gas tank. its probably clogging your fuel pump...

if rust is getting through you fuel filter youve got mad problems..

Id go try to find another gas tank..... and a new fuel pump... I had the same problem with my old hatch back. Thought it was the fuel pump dropped the tank to take allook and the gas tank was nasty as hell.

Cleaned it all out put new pump in and it ran perfect!! still does.........

Id try that.
