My point to you about cams, is the process done thoughtfully involves choosing a cam and then building a motor to support it. Few would agree that garden variety, OEM parts LS/VTEC is such a build.

As you said, you have your heart set on the cams, but cams are best selected via the head, not the heart. I would like to see your first build succeed, but the little devil on my shoulder also would like you to be my Pro1/P30 test monkey. I already have another test monkey who munched a head with Pro2 cams advanced just 3 degrees.

Just be careful. Guys with a lot of building experience are dealing with the challenge of the pro series cams, namely dealling with cam tuning, clearance and idle issues. It does not appear to be a beginner builder's cam.
