I can't say I believe you. I have an LS1 powered car that is not anywhere near as aerodynamic as a Corvette and weighs about 300 lbs more but if I get in the throttle for and hold WOT for a full 45-50 seconds at from 60+mph I get to around 150 mph. Methinks thou dost protest too much.
