Were you tuned at all, what about fuel? So, basically just exhaust and a boost controller will get you 400-500whp? It's just hard to believe.....oh wait, you said you were spraying right? Even still, the turbo and internals seem to be on borrowed time, I can only think of 2 engines that can run 500whp reliably on stock internals. (2j and rb26) <--MIND YOU IMPORT TURBO ENGINES AND NOT LSX SERIES OBVIOUSLY. + you still have to at least change to aftermarket cams to get that type of power.
I just think that if it were that easy, every SRT-4 on the road would be 400whp would it not?
But hey if you guys can do it, more power to ya.
I understand your questioning... My car ran 11.94 without the nitrous making around 370whp with the TD04LR SRT4 turbo. At that point, the stock clutch wasn't/isn't letting the car go any faster on the nitrous. I haven't ran the car in a while due to this. I have the clutch, just haven't had the time or money to deal with it.
Tuned... Yea.... A LOT of street tuning ( Mopar S2 system that comes with 682cc injectors, walbro 255HP, Apexi AFC2, no returnline

). I use everything from a wideband or knock/timing guages to tune the car.
It has alcoy injection also.
But basiclly... From TB, intake, cams, head, cam gears, pulleys, air intake and air box, charge pipes, fuel rail, fuel lines etc etc is all stock.
About the 500whp thing... That's really not a question. It has been done MANY MANY times, and the motors last longer than the drivers as they get pissed and sell the car due to the the WWD ( FWD ) still being a limiting factor. A 390whp Mopar S3 on slicks can pulls 11's out without any tuning or fuss at all, while A LOT of the 450++whp SRT4s can't due to traction and the SRT4 being limited to a 8.5'' wide tire. So the question really isn't can it make and maintain 500whp. The question is.... Is it useable like all the 900whp Supras that run 12s ( no pun intended, just trying to make the point that 500whp in a FWD car that weighs 3000LBS. is not the easiest way to go ).
Me personally, I'll take my stock looking engine bay with mid 11's over a 500whp roll race only machine anyday. Nitrous = traction control.
