ok do the old simple test to check the alt i believe if you have the car running and disconnect the positive battery if the car cuts off then usually that means its your alternator if it stays running then its not and has to be something esle i did this once and it worked for me instead of takin my car to a mech i replaced the alt and no more cut offs good luck man let us know if you figure it out
This is one way that will work on most older cars... There are others that it will ruin your alt if you take the battery off while running. It causes a spike in voltage and can mess them up. 95 and older mustangs or 302s I should say it will work fine. Good luck.
Bench tests show the alt working then the only other problem could be wires. Good luck.
