Ex-Toyota nutswinger. I got tired of them making nothing but boring cars and turned into Honda.

Absolutely correct. What people dont get a clear picture on is that I like the OLD Toyotas. Anything made after 98 by Toyota is not too interesting to me. Hell anything designed OBDII+ by them just doesnt do much for me.

Granted yes, my 20 year old Supra sees little-to-no roadtime, but in the 4 monthes that it did, it saw plenty of it. Its not so much how long I've had it be so good as it is the condition I bought it in, the condition that I drove around with it for that time, now realizing that wasnt the best idea. Even then, the car has been out of production worldwide for 14 years with an entirely different management and board of people working there than back then.

Basically let me clarify this for good. I'm a Toyota nutswinger of them built from 1970 to 1995. I still know buttloads about the new ones, specs, info, etc., but dont like them nearly as much as before. Its not really different from Chevy guys, who probably feel exactly the same way about a company that turned the Monte Carlo, Impala, etc. all into FWD boringboxes. Chevy just isnt what it used to be.

Please bring up Daimler Chrysler Powertrain issues of recent notice cause according to industry reports Daimler Chrysler has had an 80% decrease in powertrain warranty claims since '03. So if you wanna bring up the out of park transmission recall on LX platforms which by the way only 45 possible affected vehicles, and since there was only 3 reported incidents on wheels coming off Durango's and 2 of those were found because an aftermarket wheel shop had foul'd up the studs and nuts mmmmm I can pretty much say not a manufacturer defect. So please send me more of your amazing car knowledge that you have obtained, and share it with all of us, ass. So in the infamous words of Owen Wilson "rule #5 - you're an idiot!"
First of all, no need to get defensive. I wasnt calling you out or trying to point fingers, just posting what I know and have seen. We both have seen different numbers obviously for our respective recalls; I've hardly seen any actual 1MZ-FE sludge engines reported ANYWHERE, and seen plenty of Dodge trucks with the wheel problem.

As far as the transmission recalls, alls I know about them are what I've gone online randomly searching for what random recalls random DCX cars have had. Transmissions, at the time, were most prevelant.
