I stuck my head in and under curts talon. That was when I lost all respect for the guy. Reading his car was 2500 pounds and actually seeing it are two different things. His lightweight antics where never a secret, he was always open about what his cars weighed. he did however successfully keep secret how to make more power than everyone else using the same size turbo. You can believe it was all weight secrets. The math says otherwise.

Tom, your arguement makes no sense either. Just because five well known inteligent guys go fast on 1g ports, dont make it better than the 2g design. All the guys who went fast on 1g stuff rode on the backs of one another. If you lift your hood you cant keep secret what ports you are using. I know one of the original HP idols used 2g head. That was righttouch who held the fwd record for a very long time. He was making 750 whp long before NABR was even just the four original guys.

What you gotta understand about all the high horsepower setups is it takes enormous trial and error to get to those HP levels. Everyone also knows about the famous shootout where two very high HP cars killed there ported heads and had to use stock heads to continue competing. One of those cars went faster than his ported head. And the other set his new mph best. Perfect example of how making ports bigger to flow more cfm is not always better. velocity is important. arguing what port size is better to me is stupid. Its like saying the 1g block is a better design. mitsubishi has the ability to cast any port size they want. for 20 years they tweaked the design of the 4g63 to do one thing. MAKE MORE POWER.
