Piston rings, no rod bearings?
Anyone ever do this?
Just swapping out the rings without doing the rod bearings, just using the originals that were in?
I know its not advised by most people, but I also bet someone has done it?
How'd it come out?
The reason, I ask is because a buddy of mine just picked up a LS crx that burns oil horribly, the day old spark plugs are un-godly looking and he doesn't want to have to mic anything. This thing also needs a tune. It will be a quick car due to the gsr tranny in it.
