I know that part the part i dont know is the marks on the Crank pulley.
ok, you said you saw three close marks on the CP (crank pulley) and one mark about an inch away.

these three marks are used for distributor timing, and the one lone mark (an inch or so away) is the crankshaft alignment mark.

so you need to find a mark on the timing belt cover (if there is one) to align with the lone CP notch, and this will put your crank at TDC for cylinder #1.

the other way to get #1 cylinder to TDC is take out the spark plug and set a long thin extension bar or piece of round bar so you can spin the crank and find TDC manually.
