What are everyone's thoughts on a rear 4-point with no helmet. Do you think that with all the piping behind you, your head would be safe?
And one comment on chassis stiffening via cage... To get the maximum stiffening, it HAS to be gusseted to the body. People with simple cages get their hands pinched between the cage and a-pillar. That's because the chassis is still moving. A 4-point will offer some rear twisting resistance, but gusseted to the B-pillars it would be like a rock. Read the Alex Chang article on NPM about his Cusco cage offering almost no additional chassis stiffening. The one exception to gusseting is that a 6-point with door bars will give good longitudinal stiffening. Tie it into the A-pillars for a great setup.
