That is the EGT probe that goes in the exhaust manifold.
If you have a 2g put the wideband 02 sensor in the rear 02 bung. Or you can have a bung welded in at any exhaust shop for 20 bucks or less. I wouls put it right after the flex section i the down pipe. You can try the 02 housing but some people have problems with the sensor getting to hot and always reading lean. Its hit and miss with different brands. I have a aem uego wideband and it works very well for me. I have also heard good things about the NGK wideband and it is pretty cheap.
